Working with a marketing or advertising agency who has requested to be added as an admin within your Google Analytics account? There are many reasons a marketing firm would need this type of access, but here at ARK, we use admin access to manage your site’s past and future data to better provide specific KPIs, trends, and recommendations based off of these analytics. Adding a new admin to your GA account may sound like a tedious task, but we’re here to give you step-by-step instructions that will make this task easy as pie!

Step 1: Sign in to Google Analytics.
Step 2: Click Admin and navigate to the desired account/property/view.
Step 3: In the Account, Property, or View column (depending upon whether you want to add users at the account, property, or view level), click Access Management.
Step 4: In the Account permissions list, click +, then click Add users.
Step 5: Enter the email address for the user’s Google Account. (admin@arkbsc.com if you are adding ARK as an admin)
Step 6: Select Notify new users by email to send a message to the user.

Step 8: Click Add.
Universal Analytics (UA) is the traditional version of Google Analytics that provides valuable insights into user behavior, acquisition channels, conversion tracking, and more. It uses cookies and client IDs to track user interactions across multiple sessions and devices, allowing for detailed analysis of user journeys.
Unfortunately, UA is going to stop collecting data starting July 1, 2023 and you’ll only be able to view historical data (and who knows how long that will be available to us). To help make sure that you don’t lose any tracking, you’ll want to migrate and/or connect an existing GA4 property.

GA4 uses an event-based data model: it collects data based on user interactions and events.
